CORAL GABLES, Fla., July 22, 2009 – Ocariz, Gitlin & Zomerfeld, LLP Certified Public Accountants of Coral Gables, has announced that Denise Diaz has recently completed the required credentials to be team captain for peer reviews conducted under the quality control system of the AICPA. Ms. Diaz has acted as a peer reviewer locally and in Puerto Rico.

An audit partner in charge of quality control, Ms. Diaz is experienced in both the for-profit and not-for-profit industries; she also has extensive construction industry experience. She has been with Ocariz, Gitlin & Zomerfeld since 1993.

Ms. Diaz is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a past member of the United Way of Miami-Dade’s audit committee, which is responsible for the review of all not-for-profit agency contributions for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
